Welcome to The Friends of Calverley CE School homepage
The Friends of Calverley CE School Association (formerly the PTA) have successfully raised thousands of pounds to purchase equipment and teaching resources which the school could not otherwise afford, such as computers in classrooms, sports equipment, a PA system and ipod, interactive whiteboards and classroom resources.
How do we do this?
We organise events throughout the year which are supported by parents and carers, children, the staff and the local community. Some of our recent events include the Christmas Shopping Evening, Holly Bazaar, book sales, discos, and we support school events such as Sports Day, Parents Evening, New Parents Meeting. Our main fundraising event is the Spring Fayre.
What is our aim?
Our aim is to advance the education of pupils in the school by:
-Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school
-Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils
Who are our members?
All parents and carers are automatically members of the ‘Friends Association’ along with current school staff and we welcome anyone from the local community who would like to support our school.
